Terms of use

Draft version under legal review. The text may change before launch.
1. Who we are and what Manufatu is
Manufatu is a platform operated by [razão social a definir / company name to be defined] ([CNPJ a definir / tax ID to be defined]), [endereço a definir / address to be defined]. It gives skilled professionals and businesses a public page, quoting and order tools, a record of the work and ways to get paid, and lets clients find, hire and follow that work.
Manufatu is not a party to the contract between a client and a provider: the provider delivers the service or sells the product and is responsible for it. Manufatu supplies the infrastructure, the record and, where indicated, the payment method.
2. Account and access
You sign in with your email and a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to your mailbox and for everything done under your account. You need legal capacity to enter contracts; people under 18 may only use the platform with a guardian.
One person can be both a client and a provider. A business can have several people with access; whoever creates the page is its owner.
3. Pages, services and provider content
Providers are responsible for everything they publish: descriptions, prices, lead times, photos and documents. Publish only content you have the right to use and that shows real work. By publishing, you grant Manufatu a non-exclusive licence to host, resize and display it on the platform and in material promoting your page.
We may draft a page from a business's public information and invite it, by email, to review it. A draft is not published without the provider's approval, and the provider can correct or delete any content.
AI-generated reference images are labelled as such.
4. Quotes, orders and work
A sent quote cannot be changed: any change creates a new version. By accepting, client and provider agree to what the accepted version describes, which is kept on the order with its timeline (progress updates, photos, acceptance, payments).
The provider updates progress and marks delivery. The client checks and accepts or asks for changes. If the client doesn't respond within 7 days of delivery, the order completes automatically. Before work starts the client can cancel at no cost; after that, problems go through the "report a problem" flow.
5. Payments
There are three modes: (a) pay through Manufatu, where payment (Pix, card or boleto) is processed by an authorised payment partner and split between the provider and Manufatu; (b) record a payment made outside, where Manufatu records the order but neither sees nor guarantees the payment; and, where available for your case, (c) payment with added protection, whose rules will be shown before you commit.
The chosen mode appears on the order. Fees charged by Manufatu and the payment partner, where they exist, are shown before confirmation. Refunds and cancellations follow the order's rules and applicable law, including consumer protection law where it applies.
6. Reviews
Only the client and provider of the same order can review each other. Reviews are published together, once both submit or after 14 days, without either seeing the other's first. Each side reviews once per order. Offering benefits for reviews, reviewing yourself or arranging reviews is not allowed. We may hide reviews that break these terms, recording the reason.
7. Prohibited conduct
You must not: use the platform for unlawful activity; publish false, misleading or offensive content or content that infringes others' rights; impersonate another person or business; send unsolicited bulk messages; try to access others' data, bypass security controls or overload the service; use automation without permission.
We may suspend pages or accounts that break these terms, giving the reason where possible.
8. Contact outside the platform
Clients and providers may talk by any means. Using Manufatu to record the work brings benefits (history, reviews, payments) but is not mandatory.
9. Liability
Manufatu works to keep the platform available and secure but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the extent the law allows, Manufatu is not liable for services and products delivered or sold by providers, or for agreements made outside the platform. Nothing in these terms limits rights the law gives consumers.
10. Personal data
How we process personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes, closing and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in advance. You can close your account at any time: orders, reviews and transaction records are kept, without your contact details, for as long as needed to meet legal obligations and protect rights.
These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Consumers may bring claims in the courts of their home area.
